Vegetable Dalia Recipe

Vegetable Dalia

Ingredients of Vegetable Dalia

  • 1/2 cup broken wheat (dalia)
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 3 tablespoon peas
  • 1/2 cup soaked moong dal
  • 2 teaspoon ghee
  • 1/4 teaspoon asafoetida
  • salt as required
  • 1 chopped tomato
  • 1 small chopped carrot
  • 4 cup water

How to make Vegetable Dalia

Step 1 Roast daliaHeat one teaspoon of ghee in a pan. Add dalia and roast them for 2-3 minutes until aromatic.

Step 2 Saute jeeraNow heat one teaspoon of ghee in a cooker, add jeera and let them splutter for a minute. Add hing, ginger paste and stir a bit.

Step 3 Add tomatoesNow add tomatoes and mix well. Cook till the tomatoes turn mushy.

Step 4 Add the rest of the ingredientsNow add peas, carrots, turmeric and salt to the cooker. Mix well and cook for 2 minutes.

Step 5 Add soaked moong dalLastly, add soaked moong dal and water. Mix well and pressure cook for 3 whistles.
